I visited Bristol zoo and got various photographs of the residents. Take a peek at the cute meerkat and the monkeys.

Ex-Atomic Kitten singer Natasha "Tash" Hamilton performed before the Lionel Ritchie concert in Cardiff. We went backstage to talk to her backing singers and players and to get a few photographs of Tash during the rehearsals and before the concert.

Visiting Barcelona

Barcelona is filled with culture and art. The architect, Antoni Gaudí, designed several unique buildings, including the incomplete-and-in-progress cathedral, and Park Güell. Barcelona has beaches, museums, galleries, cable cars across the harbour, an Olympic Stadium, a covered market, and a Magic Fountain. Here are some of my photos from Barcelona.

Serving up CCTV Camera Data

| No Comments | No TrackBacks
A past project that I worked on included feeding images over the web from a webcam. The webcam was for the university that I worked at so that users could view the campus. The main campus had a webcam as well, and this could be viewed through their website with views over the 'college green'. My webcam was additionally used for a one-day children's themed 'Harry Potter' workshop. The webcam was set up to view the whole room (obviously far away enough so that faces could not be picked out). Parents were given the URL so that they could see the 'Harry Potter'-related fun that the children enjoyed.

I've been working on a similar task, except with CCTV cameras instead of grainy webcams. This is for temporary surveillance at roadworks in Cornwall. The CCTV cameras will be processing images and uploading them using mobile technology. The website will display an image from the CCTV camera refreshed at a specified interval. Pretty cool stuff.
