Flash Uses

It's cool and fun to work with Flash, but I've personally not been asked to work on any Flash websites, and if the client were to ask for them on the projects that I have been working on, they would be typically steered away. So what is Flash good for?

Flash has many disadvantages. Websites built in Flash cost more because they take longer to develop. They are also slow to load and may not as usable. (They also need the Flash plugin to work.) However, one can be more creative with Flash. Many marketing and new media companies have Flash websites to showcase their creativity.

I believe that Flash can add to a website, as long as the website does not solely rely on Flash. I can see a potential future for Flash in animation and games, but I believe that a website should not be built solely in Flash, unless limiting the user access to the website is not as important as showcasing the creativity of the website.
