I recently returned from visiting southern Cyprus. The country is barren and rocky with little greenery. However, the beaches are amazing with clear turquoise waters. Several rock formations along the coast make picturesque landscapes, and there was also a lot of historic places to visit. Kourion is an ancient city, now in ruins due to earthquakes. Beautiful floor mosaics survive in the ruins. Cyprus has plenty to see in the way of culture, history, and it has plenty of beaches to relax on.
