Microsoft Persuades IE6 Users to Upgrade

Microsoft has urged users to ditch the ten-year old browser (Internet Explorer 6) in favor of newer versions of IE. (Microsoft are planning on launching IE9 soon.) The website http://www.theie6countdown.com is monitoring the use of IE6, and Microsoft hopes that IE6's user base has fewer than 1% of users. According to the article, 3.5% of people in the UK use the browser, but 34.5% of people in China use it.
