Creative Website Headers and Footers, 2

I published an entry a few months ago which featured websites with inspiring and creative headers and footers. Here's the second instalment based on the same theme.

Gigi and Lulu
http://www.gigiandlulu.com.au/

This marketing website's header contains an animated bird, which flutters about the header area. I also love the colours used: dark brown, pale blue, and yellow. The bird and cage illustration is cute, and this simple website design does well in portraying 'less is more'.

Schachtel Praline

This header on this website gives it the personality it needs in the form of an illustrated park scene.

I love the design of this website; the design is centred around a lighthouse. The header features the top of the lighthouse against a starry sky, and the stars blend into blue. The footer creatively features the bottom of the lighthouse and also extends to a view under the ground. It's a cute and creative illustration.

Morphix Design Studio

This website features three separate designs, scrolling to the middle design first. The design starts with a blue sky and clouds before extending to landscape level, then to underground level.

Bad Health
http://www.badhealth.nhs.uk/

The website's header contains an illustration of different characters to give the website personality.

Tropikalny

I like the colourful flowers in the header of this website.

Sprocket House
http://sprockethouse.com/

This website has an old-fashioned feel and uses mock paper, photographs, and a patterned background.

Racket
http://www.racket.net.au

A curious header illustration creates a unique design for a website.

Twither

Animated clouds move across the header, and the footer contains a landscape illustration.

LaunchMind

London landmarks are used on the footer of this website, along with some illustrated characters. I only wish that they had spent as much time on the header of this website. The footer comes as a nice surprise when scrolled to the bottom.

The Rissington Podcast
http://www.therissingtonpodcast.co.uk/

I love the theme of this website; the header and footer are done well and consistent.

Lignetreize

Another example of a website with a header that starts in space and ends on Earth. I think the footer is done well on this website, but I feel that a little more design and illustration could have been put into the header to show more consistency.
