Leeds Junction Art Project

The city of Leeds has commissioned artists to use the junction power box as a canvas to create paintings in the city in order to create art appreciation in the community. There are currently ten painted boxes to find. Normally, thousands of people will walk by a junction power box and not notice. 

The Junction art project reminded me of seeing painted fire hydrants in my home town (Dresden, Ohio) when I was younger. The fire hydrants were painted with faces, and they were all unique. Sadly, these fire hydrants were painted over (with a solid coat of paint) probably about twenty years ago.
