One of the busiest street artists producing regular new work around east London is Dreph (Neequaye Dreph). Dreph is London-based and paints portraits of real unsung people of African/Caribbean origin. The artist has been refreshing his wall on Commercial Street in the past few months. Earlier last month, he refreshed the wall again with a portrait of Holly Oluwo.
He met Holly while he was painting in on Shoreditch High Street a few months ago, and she works at a care home and is a survivor of domestic abuse. He was inspired to paint her portrait because she is a surviver and keeps real and positive.
